In the document "A Union of Equality: The Strategy for Gender Equality 2020-2025" issued by the European Commission in March 2021, it's clearly stated the will of the Commission and the European community as a whole, to find a new strategy aimed at dismantling old power logics that undermine progress in society, moving more and more towards the promotion of new gender balances.
What emerges from the document and from the reflections carried out in these days within the training for Erasmus GENDERLY project no. 2021-1-IT03-KA210-YOU-000031079 is the importance of a new lens of observation that puts the person at the centre.
The discourse, therefore, is no longer how much a trait, a characteristic, an attitude belongs to us as bearers of a sexual gender that may not correspond to our identity (cisgender, agender, bigender, gender fluid, gender queer, pangender or transgender), but how much a certain quality identifies us as individuals.
With this in mind, reflecting on emotional intelligence as a strategy for reading the world, on the third day of mobility, Patrizio, a trainer for #AsociacionuUno, will lead participants to reflect on the theme of empathy and how this can be interpreted in the context of gender equality.
